A Brief review of Tehran's Azadi cinema facilities

The Tehran's Azadi Cinema project consists of a series of commercial complexes and a total of five movie theaters and restaurants in an area of 13,000 sq.m. This project that covers 13 floors, is designed and implemented based on the latest and most advanced global standards and facilities.  The Heating and cooling energy of this complex is supplied with reliance on the domestic technical knowledge and potentials by three boilers and two absorption chiller units.

Compliance with the design standards and consideration of vertical facility spaces (on top of each other) as well as the integration of service centers, have allowed for distribution of energy from powerhouses  to consumer endpoints in the existing vertical risers,  based on the technical standards and with consideration of easy operation and maintenance as well as long service life principles .

Given that in this project attempts are made to provide comfort conditions and control temperature and humidity, factors such as fresh air, transmission of sound and pollution as well as the level of air circulation are taken into consideration and 9 ventilator are employed to provide the above requirements.

This complex is equipped with an Intelligent Building Management System known as BMS. in addition to energy saving and verification of the  systems performance, this system is responsible for fire alarm and extinguishment,  security alarms,  traffic control, lighting control and power distribution.

This complex is also equipped with an emergency power system consisting of two generators.

The necessary anticipations are already made for supply of the required water pressure for consumer and fire extinguishment purposes by consideration of respective booster pumps as well as three metal storage tanks with a capacity of 50 cubic meters.

All the floors are provided with escalators and elevators to facilitate the public traffic. This project is also equipped with fire extinguishing systems based on the latest standards Including hoses and extinguishers as well as addressable fire alarms. The entire project is covered by automatic fire extinguishing systems (Sprinkler). Three separate sets of booster pumps are used to zone the water pressure. The complex is also equipped with fire extinguishing dry risers. Two separate sets of booster pumps are used to supply the required water pressure with consideration of the building height and observance of water pressure zoning. The wastewater of this complex is drained into the urban sewage system after anaerobic wastewater treatment.

Innovation in the use of new materials, especially in air distribution of theaters by non-metallic materials without any need for thermal and acoustic insulators, standard plastic pipes for water distribution as well as special lightings are taken into account in this project.

The Mechanical and electrical installations project considered for this commercial and cultural complex covers a total of five theaters, commercial facilities and restaurants within an area of about 12,000 square meters
